A group of local cheerleaders have a good reason to raise their pom-poms and show their spirit.

Cheerleaders from Champs Central have brought home another gold medal after the U.S. Finals Competition in Virginia Beach.

The group has the pleasure of being returning champs after having won 3 years in a row. The competition is fierce and competitive, with over 750 teams taking to the floor.

Coach Roxane Pernell says she couldn't be more proud of the girls hard work and dedication.

"It's great to have teams that can compete, go down there, win a bid, and then come home with the trophies. It takes a legit team to be able to do that and these kids are exactly that," said Roxane Pernell, Champs Coach.

The girls are from across the area, ranging from ages 7 to 11. They will continue to keep practicing and hope to continue their success in the years to come.
