Christian Help brought a taste of spring and the 70's to Morgantown Saturday evening.
The organization held its second annual spring fundraiser. The band Queen City Funk and Soul performed classic 70's music for over 200 people at the event. Organizers hoped to raise the $50-60,000 needed to run Christian Help and its programs. The organization auctioned off vacation packages and even auctioned off a fantasy basketball camp with WVU Men's Basketball Coach Bob Huggins.
Organizers said they enjoyed the sunshine and the opportunity to enjoy the dance with loved ones.
Cheryl Callen, Director of Christian Help, said, "Well, the great thing about this fundraiser is that it's a great time of year. We've all been in the house all winter, and now the sun's shining. We're ready to get out of the house and have fun and kick-off spring."
All proceeds from the event will benefit Christian Help.
