Clarksburg City Council voted to approve the passage of the second and final reading of the Home Rule Ordinance during Thursday night's meeting.

Council unanimously approved Home Rule and they will now have to approve the minutes of the meeting at next week's meeting so they can submit the application in time for the June deadline.

City Manager Martin Howe said he anticipates a response from the state in the fall.

But another hot button during the meeting was a resolution to revitalize the Rose Bud Plaza with affordable housing - the resolution passed with a unanimous vote.
