Most of you were probably saying it was too cold outside when you stepped outside your door Saturday morning.
We set a record low of 32 degrees in Clarksburg on Saturday morning. In case you were wondering, that's nearly 20 degrees below average for this time of year.
One man said he's tired of the cold and ready for summer to finally take control.
"I think the weather is unusual. I'm ready for warmer weather," says Larry Kennedy, Harrison County resident.
We not only saw colder temperatures, but also the threat of frost and freeze. Meteorologists said cold spells this time of year can happen, but it's ultimately nothing to worry about.
"It's nothing to freak out about. May is known for cold spells sometimes," says Tom Kippen, 5 News Meteorologist
If you didn't like the surprise chill on Saturday, don't worry, warmer weather will be on the way all this week.
