Communications Workers of America and Frontier  have agreed to extend their current contract until January 2014.

The original contract expired in August, but Frontier extended that until October 12th. Now,  they've agreed to extend it once again to January 18, 2014.

Frontier currently employs more than 1,600 workers in West Virginia.

In a press release, the CWA said the biggest reason for the extension was to make sure their employees had a steady job over the holiday season, since it's a very busy time of year.
