A Tennessee labor dispute made its way into Fairmont on Friday. Striking teamsters from Knoxville have set up picket lines at Cummins Crosspoint.

It's not about better wages, but the union is bargaining for seniority rights, and more reasonable insurance plans. Members from teamsters local 519 out of Knoxville have been on this strike to fight for their rights since Tuesday. Back here, local members are honoring their lines and showing support.

"You would think they would try and appreciate their employees a little bit better, and negotiate a contract for this. So this is very important,
because whatever happens out at Knoxville is going to be trickled down like a domino effect to all these other Cummin's Crosspoint facilities. So that's why it's very important, that's why were out ere today, and were will to be out here as long as this takes." said Local Teamster 519 Trustee from Knoxville Tennesse, Bob VanGorp.

Teamsters from Knoxville also told us it looks like this strike won't end anytime soon. and that these employees will go as far, and as long as they need to get a fair contract. They say they are upset at the way Cummins Crosspoint is treating them. For them its not about money, but about seniority, layoff rights and insurance benefits.
