One local college is celebrating some exciting things on it's campus. On Friday, Davis and Elkins College kicked off its homecoming celebrations.
The center of those festivities Friday afternoon was the dedication of the Myles Center for the Arts".
The Myles Center will be a place all D&E students can go, not just those studying the arts. Not only will students benefit, the center will also be open to the public. It will provide students with brand new facilities to play their music, paint, and even perform for crowds in the new auditorium.
The center wasn't the only facility on campus to be dedicated this weekend. The Seybold Indoor Golf Academy, the Joni Smith softball field, and the Allen athletic fields were also recognized as new and improved spaces at the school.
Each of these facilities was improved thanks to the help of generous donors. These dedications were just the start to homecoming weekend at D&E. The celebrations on campus will continue all weekend.
