Although we didn't see a lot of it overnight and into the day on Wednesday, heavy snow is still threatening the bulk of your holiday travels.

The majority of this snow is scheduled to last into Thanksgiving morning. Although last night's snow fall was light, Department of Highways crews were on standby to treat the roads, and they say the same goes for tonight and into thanksgiving.

"Crews were standing by when the snow started to stick, and they were out treating the roads with the salt and cinder stone that we have. Over the holiday our crews will be out, maybe not a full crew, but they will be out treating the roads in case the conditions get bad." said Anthony Paletta, Department of Highways Administrative Services Manager.

If you do plan to travel, give yourself extra time, take it slow, and if the roads get too bad, pull over.
