Deputies: Taylor County Couple Attempts to Take Children Back After Losing Parental Rights

A Taylor County couple is behind bars after they apparently tried to take their kids back after losing their parental rights.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department said this all started when 28 year-old Christopher Nooner was originally arrested for meth charges.

Earlier this week, deputies said he was in court for those charges, and he and his wife, 30 year-old Tosha Nooner, lost their parental rights.

On February 14th, deputies arrested the Nooners, after they apparently tried to pick up their children from both a Taylor County residence, and a local business in Harrison County.

Paperwork was filed for an Amber Alert, but it wasn't issued because deputies said the children are believed to be with family, and they did not fit all the requirements for one.

The Nooners are both in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, and are charged with unlawful removal of a child from the state Department of Health and Human Resources.

Deputies said they're actively searching for the children, but they believe they know where they are, and should have them back in custody soon.
