A prehistoric exhibit filled with fun for the whole family is stampeding into Morgantown this weekend.
Discover the Dinosaurs opens at the Ruby Community Center at Mylan Park on Saturday. It'll also be open on Sunday. The exhibit will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m on both days.
A few of everyone's favorite dinosaurs will be there including a life like Tyrannosaurus Rex and a full size Triceratops. Kids and families are more than welcome to get close to the animals.
The exhibit starts off with an educational scavenger hunt. After it's been completed people can enjoy slides, games, and unlimited dinosaur rides.
Kenneth Laureano is a Discover the Dinosaurs Staff Manager. He claims it's important that kids have fun and learn at the same time.
"We want them to go home and tell their friends, and have their friends tell their friends. Then once they get into school they can talk to their teacher about dinosaurs," said Laureano.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or online by clicking here.
Feb 10, 2014 at 10:54 AMThanks for the info commenter. You KNOW there's a problem when they remove posts that are negative. A decent organization would at least leave it and respond to it. I guess they had no excuse to give.
Feb 10, 2014 at 12:21 AMI have to preface my comment by telling you that my negative comment/s were deleted OFF Discover the Dinosaurs Facebook page. This made me dig deeper into who these people are. I found SOOOO many people that feel the same way I do.
Here is the page. https://www.facebook.com/MoStews/posts/10202442896065601 And, here is my comment as posted on their page: We went to this today, Sunday, February 9 in Chantilly, VA. It was, by far, THE most overpriced, understaffed and unorganized event I have ever been to. We paid $61.00 to wait in line/s for 2.5 hours, play in a sandbox and walk thru a maze. The fossil/mineral panning was really fun, but that cost $20.00 extra. The ticket price for children includes rides/moon bounces and those lines were over an hour long! We rode no ride. We jumped in no moon bounce. We played no putt putt golf. My son couldn't handle waiting in line, again. If you value your time and money, I suggest avoiding this nightmare. I too, will tell everyone I know, how awful this was! If you value your money and time....avoid going to this.
