It really doesn't matter what we want it to be like outside because Mother Nature will run it's course regardless. You can always move to a certain part of the country or even the world if you want certain weather. However, when you live in a place like West Virginia, you're likely to experience all four seasons.
Earlier in 2012, the springtime was relatively warm. There wasn't a ton of snow or rain at that time either. With the February storms, places saw flooding. Then in June there was the high winds that knocked down trees and caused widespread power outages, and of course, who can forget Superstorm Sandy and the snow that blanketed a lot of our area.
While these three storms alone aren't very common in our area, they proved that it can happen.
Do people think it will happen again in 2013? One man said he likes to ski so he wants to see the snow this winter but he likes a variety of temperatures.
"Ideally I like to have a bad winter, where you don't see the ground in the wintertime because of the snow. Then, in the summer, I really like having all four seasons so nice spring, good summer, nice fall and a good hard winter," said Dr. Mark Farnsworth.
Of course, everyone has their own opinions on the weather. We'll just have to rely on our meteorologists to let us know what it will be like outside.

We 'need' the snow and cold in winter as it helps kill off bugs and gives us water to prevent springtime drought and large increases in bug population in summer. I love the 4 seasons and wouldn't live anywhere else.
