Just before the students got out for spring break, Doddridge County students and teachers had a little fun and games this week, all while helping charity.
This week was the school's annual 'Spring Fling.' Over the last three days, seven teams competed in relays, scavenger hunts and a talent show. They also made music videos. Of course this is for fun, but there's also parts that allow participants to give back to the community.
"We also do some charity events within the spring fling. Teams are asked to bring in clothing that we donate to the mission and we've also collected money for the March of Dimes," says Family and Consumer Sciences teacher Cheryl Higgins.
"You get to help the community, do community service and it's fun and you get to work as a team and have fun with your school," says senior Jennifer Reed.
For the first time ever, a team made up of all teachers and administrators won.
