A Doddridge County road was closed for hours after a tanker truck accident had officials worried about an unknown liquid that had spilled.
The accident happened around 7:00 Sunday night on Meat House Fork Road, which is close to New Milton. Traffic was delayed while crews worked to clean up the scene.
According to state police, the driver was taken to United Hospital Center with minor injuries.
Initial reports suggested that the liquid had spilled onto the road. However, the driver contacted 5 News Monday afternoon to report that no liquid spilled onto the road. He said that couldn't have happened since his tanker had flipped into the creek.
