Some shoppers will barely have enough time to eat their Thanksgiving turkey before they start heading to the stores for Black Friday shopping.

"The old days, we were open at 7 o'clock in the morning, 8 o'clock in the morning way back when, then 6, then 5. Now it's pretty much standard that the mall is open at midnight. We even have some department stores opening before midnight," said Meadowbrook Mall Property Manager Marcello Lalama.

As you know, some stores are also opening their doors earlier on Thanksgiving Day.

"I don't approve of the ones on Thanksgiving," said Suzanne Martin of Shinnston.

"I think it's nice. The prices are cheap so we like it," said Burnsville resident Darlene Isenhart.

"On Thursday, it should be for the family. They shouldn't open up the stores. Leave them closed so the families can enjoy their holiday," expressed Sharon Parker of Fairmont.

For some families, waking up early on Black Friday to go shopping is a tradition.

"For those that like that, yes, it's like a sport for them," said Martin.

"I just like getting out and seeing the people and, you know, enjoying the festivities," said Parker.

To others, it's just a madhouse.

While some shoppers say they'll be avoiding the Black Friday crowds, others say they'll be anxiously waiting in line for the doors to open on Thanksgiving Day.

"I'm taking my whole family, me and my five children. We're going to Walmart, Kmart, Rent-A-Center," said Isenhart.

Increased security will be in place at most stores for Black Friday shopping.
