If you take a look outside, you can see the leaves on the trees changing color which is a sure sign of fall, but for the small town of Salem, a local specialty brings everyone out this time of year: the Apple Butter Festival.

5 News got to Salem just in time to catch the fire trucks and marching bands come down Main Street to celebrate the town's favorite festival.

While most people agree the apple butter is their favorite part, the parade is also a great way to celebrate.

Some kids said the parade is definitely their favorite part.

"I like to play games because they're fun," said Madison, who likes the Apple Butter Festival.

If you'd still like to catch the Apple Butter Festival, you can head into Downtown Salem for the celebrations all weekend long.
