Wednesday marks the middle of week three for all of you out there who are trying to loose ten pounds in ten weeks. While some people want to loose weight, others just want to have a healthier lifestyle.

Health officials stressed the importance of not attempting weight loss alone. Some people just like the support of another person while others look at it as motivation to compete. Either way, it's crucial to have someone on your side no matter what your goal is.

This week 5 News is introducing you to Melissa Roy, who has an extremely busy schedule but is still eating healthy. One solution was replacing those chip bags and candy bars with fruits and vegetables. She has a couple more for you.

"They have fill half of your plate with vegetables and I've started that. That really just helps a lot. You get fuller faster. You don't feel like eating the little sweet things and snacks. I don't want to deny myself anything I really like. If I see something I really like I don't want to deny it so I just look at the portion size," said Melissa Roy, Participant.

Roy also said she loves that this class doesn't pressure her to succeed, she can progress at her own pace. Ultimately her goal is to eat healthier because when she does that, she feels better.
