It seems like every day someone's out there asking for your money, whether it's online, over the phone, or on TV. A lot of the time it is hard to tell if it's real or a scam, and because of that the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center set up a safe way for you to donate to the veterans in Harrison County. It's called E-Donate.
This is a simple and secure way to show your support for our veterans. If you donate to other companies, it tends to go to the general cause. Now with E-Donate, you can choose exactly where your money goes.
"100% of your money that's donated to the medical in our general post funds go directly towards our veteran patients. We do everything from purchase comfort kids for new patients to underwear and t-shirts. We provide costs for homeless veterans in the winter. There's a myriad of things we do. We provide food for hospice care patients and there families for end of life issues," said Thomas Gallagher, Voluntary Service Chief at the VA.
If you're interested in donating, there's a five dollar minimum. For more information, click here.
