Employee Arrested For Alleged Abuse At Miracle Meadows School; Criminal Complaint Released

5 NEWS UPDATE 8/18:
 
5 News has received a criminal complaint for Mr. Arrington. The criminal complaint outlined the charges that Mr. Arrington is facing. There were no new charges added to the compliant.  Officials are still investigating this incident.  Stay with 5 News for further updates.
 
5 NEWS UPDATE 8/15:
 
5 News was able to contact a spokesperson for the school.  This spokesperson declined to go on camera but did give us the following statement:
 
"The school declines to comment on the allegations made against Mr. Arrington."
 
ORIGINAL STORY:
 
According to a Press Release from Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney Joe Shaffer:
 
At approximately 3:00 p.m. Thursday, the Harrison County Sheriff's Department executed an arrest warrant for Timothy Aaron Arrington of Salem.
 
Mr. Arrington is an employee of Miracle Meadows School, a faith based residential school located in Salem. He is currently charged with one count of Child Abuse by a Custodian of a child.
 
The allegations are that Mr. Arrington choked a child resident to the point of unconsciousness. Nineteen children, ages 10 through 17 have been removed from this school and are currently in the custody of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services.
 
The Sheriff's Department and the Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney have opened and are conducting a criminal investigation into the treatment of all the children who resided at this school.
 
The Sheriff's Department was assisted today by the WV State Police and The Bridgeport Police Department.
