Everyday across the country hospitals face the challenge of providing full orthopedic coverage in their emergency departments, and Fairmont General Hospital was no exception.

At minimum, hospitals need up to three physicians to provide full care in any department. For this reason FGH has partnered with Delphi Healthcare Partners, and has found a great solution for residents in our area.

Delphi Healthcare is now helping FGH provide full care orthopedic surgeons to cover the emergency department 24/7. This is just the type of coverage FGH President and CEO says he couldn't be more excited to bring to our area.

"When a patient arrives with an orthopedic injury they know that they will be seen essentially by an orthopedic surgeon and if surgery is required, that surgeon will take them to the O.R." said Robert Marquardt FGH President and CEO.

Marquardt says that he hopes this partnership continues to allow patients to be confident about their care when they're treated in the emergency room.
