Consol Energy officials that dive and rescue teams have recovered the body of a missing worker at the Robinson Run Preperation Plant.

The body of Markel J. Koon, 58, of Shinnston was recovered during a successful pipe dive recovery. Crew pulled his body to the surface after entering the cab of a bulldozer that was submerged in a slurry pond at the plant.

Koon worked for CONSOL for more than 37 years. Some reports indicate that he was also a member of a team that responded to the 2006 Sago mine disaster

Officials tell us an investigation is still ongoing into that accident that caused an embankment to give way two weeks ago.
