The 16-year-old suspect in the Labor Day shooting of three people in Doddridge County will be tried as an adult after a motion hearing Wednesday morning.

On September 3, Frederick and Dixie Spencer, and their 9-year-old daughter, were shot and killed inside their Maston Road home. The couple's 16-year-old son is the suspect. Earlier reports identified him as Joseph Spencer. He has been charged with three counts of homicide and will be tried as an adult.
For now, the teen will remain in custody at a juvenile facility.
He could be indicted as early as this month, but there are also grand juries in February and July.
