An apparent meth lab bust early Saturday morning has two people facing charges in Braxton County.

32 year-old Michael Wayne Harrison and 33 year-old Jennifer Harrison are charged with two counts of operating a clandestine lab, possession of meth precursors, child neglect creating risk of injury, exposure of meth to a child, and exposure of meth to first responders.

About a week ago deputies got a call that trash was being thrown over the hill on Bear Run Road in Gassaway. The officer says he found the remains of a meth lab there, and got enough info to obtain a search warrant.

After serving the warrant they apparently found an active meth lab in the basement of a home on Chestnut Street in Gassaway.  Officers say the lab was only about 25 feet from the children's bedroom.  No one was home at the time but after being notified, police say the Harrison's turned themselves in.

A cleaning crew has been called in to decontaminate the home.  The Braxton County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation, and were assisted by WVSP.
