Original Story 2/23:
In Marion County, 911 officials told 5 News that police began a pursuit around 8:30 Saturday evening, and that chase ended with two men in handcuffs.
It all started when officers pulled over a car for a routine traffic stop at the intersection of Fairmont Avenue and Third Street. When deputies walked up to the car, which had two men inside, they apparently saw one of them try to hide something that looked like white powder. That's when then the car took off. After a short chase, deputies were able to stop them around Maple Avenue.
That's when one of the men tried to flee. However, both were caught and are now facing possession with intent to deliver cocaine charges. The driver is also being charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
