Family of Sgt. May Awarded $2 Million In Wrongful Death Suit

The family of a Monongalia County Sheriff's Deputy who was killed by a drunk driver has settled a civil lawsuit against the man responsible for his death.
Thanks to a wrongful death lawsuit the family of Sergeant Michael "Todd" May will split a little more than $2 million.
In December a jury found Jerod Green guilty in the death of May.
In July, Franklin and Catherine May, filed the wrongful death suit against Green.
The money will be spilt between May's family and their attorneys.
Green was sentenced earlier this year and is serving a 25 to 50 year prison sentence.
