For the second night in a row, fighters duked it out at the annual Toughman Contest.
More than 2,500 people came out to see the fighters squaring off.
Winners of each category will win cash prizes, along with bragging rights. This is the 34th year the tournament has come to Clarksburg. But statewide, events are held in about ten different cities throughout the year and also nationwide.
Three judges determine the winner of each one minute round.
Though there are other fighting contests for amateurs, organizers say that Toughman has the most entertainment value.
"The good thing about Toughman is that everybody knows somebody. It could be a cousin of yours or your neighbor. It's just entertaining. You've got good fights, comical fights, and serious fighters. We get it all. It's very interesting," said senior referee Dave Johnson.
Fans agree that seeing friends and family in the ring is the best part of the night."
"We like coming out as friends, and we like coming to the Toughman because we get to see some of our friends fight," said Kara Lipps.
Her friend Janet Reaser added, "Plus, we have a home town girl from South Harrison as a ring girl. You go girl!"
"It's a good way to start off a Saturday night."
If the snow kept you from coming out, they'll be coming to Elkins on March 24th.
