A fire erupted inside a home in Barbour County, Monday night.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. at a home in the Browntown Community. According to emergency officials, the people who once lived there are away on vacation.

But the fire definitely did a "number" on the home. Investigators think it caused about $50,000 worth of damage. They're also not sure how it started.
