One small business in Downtown Fairmont held their Grand Re-Opening Saturday morning. They've been open for 34 years, but decided they needed a little change.
Friendly Furniture Galleries started their day with a cash cutting. That's right, they cut a strand of 50 10-dollar bills as a symbol of their re-opening. That total of $500 was then donated to the United Way of Marion County.
"We decided that we needed an update. Like woman undergo makeovers, we decided that the store needed a makeover. We have had a nice flow of people all day. We would love repeat customers to come back and see us and new customers to please come and discover us," said Deloris Spatafore, Co-Owner.
Christmas is right around the corner so this is the perfect time for shopping. If you're in Fairmont, be sure to check out the new Furniture Gallery on Adams Street.
