If you took a stroll along the Deckers Creek Trail in Sabraton on Saturday, you probably noticed something a little different.

Friends of Deckers Creek along with several local businesses across the Morgantown area finally revealed their completed pavilion park along the Deckers Creek Trail.

The ribbon cutting featured several different types of activities for kids and adults to come out and learn about everything from the creek and trees, to keeping the new park safe.

Officials said it's a great way for everyone to learn about the environment, and learn how to keep it safe.

"The more people that come out and use this facility and take care of it, the less we have to worry about vandals coming here because it will be under our own protection," said Jen-Ohsa Buysse, Education Coordinator for Friends of Deckers Creek.

The group also installed several new security cameras along the creek side to prevent vandals from destroying anything.
