Girl Scouts Honor Members Who Sold Over 1,000 Cookies

The Girl Scouts from our local area were celebrating some of their big achievements Saturday morning.

This was the first annual Take the Lead Girl Recognition Ceremony. They honored girls who sold over 1,000 boxes of Girl Scouts cookies. Raelyn Vance was the winner for selling the most cookies.

Another Girl Scout even helped set up a website for her church, so they could connect to the community more easily.

There were other awards, like the Silver Award that honored sixth, seventh, or eighth grade girls' accomplishments in Girl Scouting, and community activities that better her life, and the life of others.
