Harrison County Accident Leaves One Woman Dead

5 News has gotten reports that a woman was killed early Saturday morning after she apparently hit a tree.

It happened just before 3:30 am Saturday morning on Gregory's Run Road near Lumberport. 

No other details have been released.

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Harrison County early Saturday morning.

Harrison County 911 said it happened on Gregory Run Road, near Isaac's Creek, around 3:20 a.m. The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said Joann Langford, 76, Lumberport lost control of her vehicle and crashed in to a tree. Gregory Run Road was shut down, but has since re-opened, according to 911 officials. The Lumberport Fire Department and Harrison County EMS also responded to the scene. The sheriff's department is investigating. Ms Langford was a wonderful woman loved by many people.
