"Well I think we're going to tie the knot," said Mark Meredith.
Every year on Valentine's Day Judge Bedell in Harrison County is named the Love Judge. That's because they host a mass wedding on this special day for anyone with a marriage license.
"Today it kind of hit both of us, what we were doing," said Mark Meredith.
"We'll never forget our anniversary," said Pam Meredith.
One couple renewed their vows and seven others got married. Now when 5 News asked how they feel, they said the following.
"Like a runaway bride. Very happy," said Pam Meredith.
"I feel like the luckiest man on earth," said Mark Meredith.
"I'm really excited. I've been waiting for it for a while," said Melissa Cross.
"I don't know. It's more than words can explain I guess. When you plan it and everything you get overjoyed. Then you come here and you're nervous and you have butterflies. It's exciting," said Paul Cross.
Most of the couples have been engaged for a few years.
"We took our time. It's been two years. We took it slow," said Leroy Newman.
But the couple with the longest engagement was since 2008.
"Three kids later. It's just been hard financially and everything else. It's just been really busy and everything is finally falling into place for us," said Cassandra Beam.
Now that they are officially married, the Cross couple, who won the best kiss, has another date on their mind.
"Whenever everything comes along we'll get a big one because we have a kid on the way now," said Paul Cross.
"I'm due July 10," said Melissa Cross.
As for the future for everyone else, they only see happiness ahead.
"We just get along. We have so much in common that's what holds us together," Cassandra and Adonnis Beam.
"We're going to keep doing what we've been doing and enjoying each other," said Valerie Newman.
