Honoring Veterans on Independence Day

Many of you celebrated Independence Day with your family and friends. One thing many of you told us was people need to remember to say thank you to our veterans because without them, our independence wouldn't be possible.
Harrison County resident, Zach Sandy said, "We usually have a cookout at my grandmother's house, light off fireworks, enjoy food and just hang out as a family. We take a moment of silence for the troops that have gone on and we pray for those who are still serving."
President Obama made a speech on Thursday morning, in which he thanked and honored all service men and women.
