A house that's been vacant for about five years went up in flames Wednesday night in Harrison County.
It happened at a three story home on Stouts Run Road outside of Quiet Dell. 911 got the call a little before 10:30 p.m. but it was already engulfed at the time of call, so it had been burning for some time.
Gas and electric were hooked up to the building, which sits next to a pond, though they shouldn't have been. It took fire crews about 20 minutes to get the flames under control once they got there.
The state fire marshal's office will be notified and crews called the start of the blaze suspicious.
Nutter Fort, Stonewood, Anmoore and Lost Creek Fire Departments responded.
