Firefighters are calling a blaze that destroyed an abandoned home Friday in Summit Park suspicious.

A little after midnight, crews got to the house on Cox Street, where flames were already shooting out of the roof. No one's lived in the house for years, leaving firefighters to believe it was intentionally set.

It took them about an hour to get it under control, but it has been ruled a total loss. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Officials from the State Fire Marshal's office have been called in to investigate.
