If you have scanners, you may have noticed firefighters that firefighters have been extremely busy recently. It's not just them responding to typical accidents or the occasional house fires, but plenty of them have been spending time battling brush fires.
Right now we are in the heart of brush fire season. The reason is because everything is dried out from the winter. Until green starts coming back on the ground and trees start budding, we'll remain in this dangerous season. You need to watch what you are doing outside. Unfortunately, there are some things we can't control that will start these fires. For instance, the high winds can knock down power links which spark and start a brush fire but more common causes include people not fully extinguishing fires that they burn.
When you are burning, make sure you put safety first. If you're going to burn, you're only allowed to do so between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. for now.
