MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - A federal judge has dismissed the latest lawsuit against West Virginia University over a 6-year-old master's degree scandal involving the daughter of then Gov. Joe Manchin.

U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey issued an order Wednesday dismissing all three counts against WVU's former academic integrity officer, administration officials and Board of Governors.

Former business school dean Stephen Sears and former associate dean Cyril Logar argued that WVU ignored its obligation to repair their tarnished reputations since an academic-misconduct investigation ended.

They accused WVU of breach of contract and denial of their due-process rights.

It was their third lawsuit in four years. All have failed.

Last summer, WVU said there would be no further action against anyone involved in altering transcripts, creating grades and awarding an executive master's degree to Heather Bresch.

" Facts drive liberals crazy obviously." But you presented the case that, "Seems to be the norm in the liberal way of doing things as Obama" which implies that Obama had something to do with it. Not a fact. Furthermore, you throw in a red herring when you mention Obama or liberals, as this case has nothing to do with either. You hate too much. Your logic and reason are not logic and reason, but words meant to evoke some sort of emotional response from people so they may agree with your fallacious arguments. I've been reading you for a while--of course, there are no names on the posts, but context allows inference--and never have you posted a reasonable, legitimate argument.

The Governor was Manchin whether YOU like it or not. It was Manchin's daughter that received an unearned degree from the college. Facts drive liberals crazy obviously. Seek 'truth' and it will set you free. Seek deceit and lies and keep a miserable life. It really is that simple.

@ previous post--- This happened in 2007, President Obama took office in 2008 what are you talking about? That's just another case of the pure hatred that is driving this country into the state that it is in. That's a sad shame.

WDTV-5 news reporting team afraid to print the name of the former governor? I'm not....but will you print my comments? Well we'll see. The former governor was our senator now, Mr. Manchin. It was 'his' daughter that got the 'special' treatment and received a masters degree that wasn't 'earned.' Seems to be the norm in the liberal way of doing things as Obama likes to lower our standards and tests to make sure 'everyone' can have a degree. Equality in a twisted liberal logic way. Amazing how cowardly the media has gotten over the past decade isn't it??? Can't find truth in reporting anymore. The people have to search for it themselves.
