A man is in jail after claims that he came home drunk and started beating his family members.

Randy Thayer of Lewis County allegedly punched his wife in her face until she was covered in blood. Police say he hit a second victim in her head with a stick and even threatened to kill her.

Thayer ran into the woods after the alleged attack, but police said when they found him, Thayer claimed the victims "deserved it".
