With some much destruction around Oklahoma, people all across the country are doing everything they can to help, including people here in the mountain state.

The state's Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, or VOAD, is will be heading to Oklahoma to help with clean up efforts.

Right now, they're getting things ready for the trip. They'll be going after the search and rescue phase is finished in the areas that were hit the hardest.

They said the best way everyone can help is to give monetary donations.

"The organizations that are actually there on the ground working or will be on the ground working as soon as it's opened up to those organizations, anything that's needed through a cash donation, you can buy it instead of having items that you actually don't need," said Jenny Gannaway, chairperson of W.Va. VOAD.

You can donation $10 to the Red Cross, by texting the words RECROSS to 90999.

Another organization you can donate $10 to is the Salvation Army. You can do that by texting STORM to 80888.
