Monday night in Fairmont a water line broke on Locust Avenue, causing some minor flooding and keeping a few local organizations from opening their doors Tuesday.
Part of the road had to be closed to traffic for repairs. Crews were able to fix the line Tuesday and Locust Avenue should be open again soon.
The water will be tested after that to make sure it is safe to drink, but utility workers expect the boil water advisory that had to be put in place because of this break will be lifted by Wednesday.
