Christmas is only two days away, and the giving spirit is in the air. For the owners of the Looking Glass Consignment Shop, they don't wait for the season. They give all year round.
The owners said ever since they opened their stores in Bridgeport and Clarksburg they've been donating to local organizations. They give to the Clarksburg Mission regularly as well as Shepherd's Corner and The Mustard Seed, but that's not all! They send maternity wear and kids clothes to the pregnancy crisis center and they've even sent things to Africa! The owners told 5 News it's just a blessing to help others.
"It's a blessing to other people. We can't possibly sell all the stuff that we get in so we sort it out. People that bring stuff in make some money on the stuff we do get to sell and we get to bless people with stuff that doesn't get sold," said Shell Hoskinson, Co-Owner of the Looking Glass.
The Hoskinsons said before you give away your clothes, find the best home. Whether it's to a consignment shop where you can make some money. Or work clothes to the local business college to help new graduates get on their feet.
