Police in Preston County are saying they've busted a man for allegedly having heroin and thousands of dollars in cash on Thursday.

Masontown Police responded to a call on Hundley Street after receiving a complaint about someone making threats to hurt people. When they arrived, investigators apparently saw Christopher Kerns, 30, from Morgantown, in a truck with someone else.

According to a police report, police were given permission to search the vehicle. Shortly after, police apparently found the drugs and nearly $3,000.

Kerns allegedly admitted it was heroin and told investigators he planned to buy more drugs.
