The Preston County Sheriff's Department is investigating a car crash that sent  a woman to the hospital and landed a man in handcuffs for a DUI.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday on Route 26, just north of Howesville. We're told a Nixola Stanton, 66, of Albright was turning left off of Route 26 in a car, when she drove into the path of William Greaser of Kingwood. He was driving a pickup truck. A woman driving the car behind Greaser also wrecked. She wasn't hurt.
Stanton had to be extricated from her car. She was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital where she's now in stable condition.
Greaser was arrested for DUI 2nd offense. He was released after posting bond.
The investigation is ongoing, and more citations are pending.
