A man who was ran over by his girlfriend in August died last week, and now, she could soon be facing murder charges.

Harrison County deputies said 28-year-old Amber Dawn Smith had been fighting with her boyfriend Roscoe Keener, Jr. late one night before she ran him over. She dragged him several feet along Philippi Pike in Anmoore before she stopped. Keener died Friday.

Harrison County Prosecutor Joe Shaffer said they're waiting for an exact cause of death before they can see if they can charge Smith with murder.

She's already in jail, charged with malicious wounding for this incident.
