Man Wanted for Kidnapping Charges Out of Illinois Arrested

Early Friday afternoon, the Lewis County Sheriff's Department received a call from officers in Illinois looking for an alleged kidnapper.
46-year-old David Tapia allegedly kidnapped a young girl. State Police in Buckhannon found Tapia at a house off route 20 in Tennerton.
Sheriff's Deputies found the girl in a car with another man. Tapia is being charged with kidnapping and intimidating a witness. The person found with the girl and Tapia are in custody.
