The Law Tower in Fairmont has housed the Marion County day report center for quite some time now but they only occupy a small part of that building. One floor to be exact.
With so many people going through that program now officials in Marion County felt they needed a bigger place to call home.
Thanks to the Marion County Commission that has become a reality.
After buying that tower from the city the Day Report Center will be able to expand throughout the entire building. According to the commission and officials at the center having this program so close to the courthouse only helps residents to succeed in the program.
"It's very rare to find property that close to the court house that was for sale. We got it at a reasonable price, and we are very happy that we
are able to put this together. We're going to do a lot of renovation inside of it, and it's going to be a great location for our Day Report
Center." said Randy Elliot, President of the Marion County Commission
Officials say they are ready to start expanding and renovating that building as soon as they possibly can to get more people moving through the program.
