Three people from Chicago were arrested in Marion County Saturday morning for the possession of almost $4,000 in drugs.

Darrel Moore, Shannon Thompson, and Charles Blocker were stopped by Barrackville Police because of defective equipment. The officers smelled marijuana when they approached the car, so they called in Sheriff's Deputies for back up.

When K-9 units confirmed drugs, officers found cocaine and marijuana in a hidden compartment in the vehicle.

All three people in the car were charged with possession with intent to deliver. Blocker was also a fugitive from justice. They're being held at the North Central Regional Jail.

This was the second drug bust by the Sheriff's Department this week.
