The Public Service Commission has agreed to let Mon Power purchase a power plant in Harrison County. However, there are some conditions.

Mon Power has been trying to buy the remaining percent of the Harrison power station since last year. The company is paying Allegheny Energy $1.1 billion to acquire it, and ratepayers will fund about $800 million of it. As part of this deal, Mon Power also sold their ownership in the Pleasants Power Station.
