More than 800 Marijuana Plants Found in Preston County

More than 800 marijuana plants were found growing in a corn field near Bruceton Mills last week.
 
According to The Dominion Post, State Police found the plants with the help of aerial surveillance.  Police said they were between five and six feet tall.
 
No one has been charged with cultivating the plants, but police are investigating.
 
The plants were taken to the Kingwood detachment and destroyed.

Bruceton Mills is a town in Preston County, along Big Sandy Creek. The population was 74 at the 2000 census.
