National Crime Victims' Rights Week Kicks Off Sunday

National Crime Victims' Rights Week kicks off Sunday night at 7:30.
 
It starts off with a luminary service at the City Municipal Lot in Bridgeport, which is adjacent to the Benedum Center on Main Street.
 
This week is important because it lets people recognizes victims of crime and advocate for their rights. This is event is free to everyone.
 
There will be a sky lantern release, a candle vigil, music, testimonies from victims and secondary victims, words from local and state dignitaries, and a student art contest.
