An energy company is saying thanks to those who help keep us safe, by giving back to a local police department.
The Consol Energy in Monongah presented a check for more than $3,000 to White Hall Police today. The money will be used to buy new uniforms and equipment for officers. White Hall Police say they're thankful for this gift and Consol Energy officials say they're happy to help.
"We're on a limited budget out in White Hall. So it makes it a lot easier for us, that we're able to work together with somebody in the community that would give us support," said Chief Geno Guerrieri, White Hall Police Department.
"Not only do we do business here, a lot of our employees, most of them live in this general area. So the more we can help our local law enforcement officers, the better it is for our people," said Chuck Shaynak, Senior Vice President Northern West Virginia Consol Energy.
The new safety equipment will also help police keep folks in the town of White Hall safe.
